BookNotification.com—an incredibly useful site—profiled me on their Booktalks page this week, and I encourage you to check out the interview!
I’ve been using its sister site BookSeriesInOrder.com for years, so when I discovered BookNotification.com, I was immediately hooked. Their names tell the story already, but briefly:
- BookSeriesInOrder.com organizes titles chronologically, both in order of publication and in order of storyline. I love reading series, so this site always keeps me focused and organized as I read.
- BookNotification.com helps readers track their reading, particularly by author. I not only mark the books I’ve read but also rate them, tag them, and offer brief reviews for each. Best yet, the site also notifies me when authors I follow are scheduled to release new titles.
I’ve never been satisfied with GoodReads.com, yet it’s hard to put my finger on exactly why. Maybe because it’s managed by computers more than people?
BookNotification feels different—a lot more reader-focused and definitely currated by humans. The people behind the site promise to release even more useful features as the months and years progress. It’s my go-to book-tracking site, and I definitely suggest you check it out.
