Short Stories by Roald Dahl

Roald Dahl (13 September 1916 – 23 November 1990) may be known best for his children’s books, but he had adults in mind when he wrote most of his short stories. Dark, morbid, grotesque, and sometimes downright sinful, his stories aren’t always edifying. Yet underneath “the story” is often a lesson in human nature that at least leaves readers open to ponder and discuss our human frailty and (often) our bent towards sin.
