Geoffrey Household (30 November 1900 – 4 October 1988) was a British gentleman whose various business ventures and involvement in WWII British Intelligence took him all over the Western world. Those familiar with his writings will especially note a heavy Spanish influence, though the U.S., Romania, Hungary, and other locations pepper his pages as well. Personally, I love him for his stories set in the quaint British countryside where fugitives are often hiding.
